Please come back often, as we are always buying more goodies to list on ebay. This listing is for a vintage, modernist, pewter and glass pendant necklace by Jorgen Jensen of Denmark. This is a super rare find! Jorgen Jensen has been designing jewelry since the early 1900s and is still in operation today. This piece is from the 1960s or early 70s. This necklace is made of pewter and a single, concave pewter pendant with a turquoise glass cabochon set in the center. The type of glass art used to create this very convincing, simulated turquoise stone is called Peking Glass. It's used very often to create faux jade, but is also used to create other gorgeous simulated gemstones. The necklace measures 20 inches in length. The pendant is just under an inch in length and .75 of an inch in width. The necklace is signed on the sides of the pendant and is in excellent vintage condition. This necklace still looks wonderful and the new owner can proudly wear it for years to come or display it as a unique piece in his/her/theirs's vintage jewelry collection.
