Description: Vintage Johnny Cash denim shirt from the 1990’s! The Man in Black! Winterland Productions Worldwide Promo! Size Large (but fits more like an XL)! Super soft denim! Nice wear throughout with mild fading! NO DRY ROT! Worn in and super soft! No major flaws whatsoever - no holes, rips or tears. No major stains. This is a long sleeve, button up denim shirt. It’s simple but classic and extremely well made. Shirt has a good amount of weight to it. This would be great for any music fan or vintage collector. I have personally never seen the Johnny Cash version of these shirts. Winterland did a bunch of these collaborations with a variety of artists in the 90’s but this is the first time I came across the Johnny Cash. This has that great western / outdoors / cowboy look and feel and is worn in to perfection. Shirt is in pretty good, used vintage condition. Mild “wear and tear” from age and use. Please be advised this is a long sleeve shirt with button closures. There is one chest pocket with the classic CASH logo in black. The buttons are light brown. This is a true vintage Johnny Cash / Winterland promo shirt from the 90’s. This is not a reprint or replica. This is 100% true and authentic vintage. Color is blue denim (mild fading throughout) Winterland Productions Worldwide Tag Made in the USA. Tagged size Large. It measures approximately 24 1/2 by 30 inches (shirt is lying flat and buttoned when measured). Please be advised of size and approximate measurements. This is a long sleeved shirt. Obviously this is used and has a wear throughout but the shirt still has lots of life left to it. Again…NO DRY ROT! Average “Wear and tear” throughout as expected from age and use. No holes, rips or tears. No major stains. Nice fading to the denim which gives it a great look. There are some minor flaws as outlined in the pictures: There is some fading to parts of the shirt as expected from age and use. Please see pictures for reference. There are some minor loose threads from age and wear. Please see picture for reference. This is primarily found around the button closures. I wouldn’t consider this major at all as it’s not very noticeable. There is some wrinkling / creasing from age and use. Please see picture for reference. Heavier fading around collar, back collar and shoulder seams and cuffs from age and wear. Please see picture for reference. Minor wrinkling to the collar from age and wear. Please see picture for reference. Please view all pictures. I personally think these all add to the look and character of the shirt. Obviously please be advised of the condition and understand that there are some flaws as outlined above. Overall vintage condition is pretty good. Again, there are no major flaws whatsoever. I don’t consider any of the flaws to be major since they do not jeopardize the integrity of the shirt. All of the aforementioned are expected from age and use and also due to it being categorized as vintage clothing. Please view all pictures thoroughly. All of my shirts have been well taken care of and handled/stored appropriately. Some minor and minimal marks, smudges, cracking, lint, discoloration, piling, wrinkles, etc. could also be present from age and wear. Please be advised this is used and this is a vintage shirt...that means it does have wear and fading. To reiterate....please be advised this is used clothing and this is not a new or modern shirt. Also, please view all pictures and be advised of size, approximate measurements provided and slight flaws (cracking, markings, etc.) that could be present from age and wear. Most of Cash's music contains themes of sorrow, moral tribulation, and redemption, especially songs from the later stages of his career.[5][6] He was known for his deep, calm bass-baritone voice,[a][7] the distinctive sound of his Tennessee Three backing band characterized by train-like chugging guitar rhythms, a rebelliousness[8][9] coupled with an increasingly somber and humble demeanor,[5] free prison concerts,[10] and a trademark all-black stage wardrobe, which earned him the nickname the "Man in Black". Born to poor cotton farmers in Kingsland, Arkansas, Cash rose to fame during the mid-1950s in the burgeoning rockabilly scene in Memphis, Tennessee, after serving four years in the Air Force. He traditionally began his concerts by simply introducing himself, "Hello, I'm Johnny Cash",[c] followed by "Folsom Prison Blues", one of his signature songs. His other signature songs include "I Walk the Line", "Ring of Fire", "Get Rhythm", and "Man in Black". He also recorded humorous numbers like "One Piece at a Time" and "A Boy Named Sue", a duet with his future wife June called "Jackson" (followed by many further duets after their wedding), and railroad songs such as "Hey, Porter", "Orange Blossom Special", and "Rock Island Line".[13] During the last stage of his career, he covered songs by contemporary rock artists; among his most notable covers were "Hurt" by Nine Inch Nails, "Rusty Cage" by Soundgarden, and "Personal Jesus" by Depeche Mode. Cash is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold more than 90 million records worldwide.[14][15] His genre-spanning music embraced country, rock and roll, rockabilly, blues, folk, and gospel sounds. This crossover appeal earned him the rare honor of being inducted into the Country Music, Rock and Roll, and Gospel Music Halls of Fame. His music career was dramatized in the 2005 biopic Walk the Line, in which Cash was portrayed by American film actor Joaquin Phoenix. American Recordings is the 81st album by American country singer Johnny Cash. It was released on April 26, 1994[1] by American Recordings, after it had changed its name from Def American. The album marked the beginning of a career resurgence for Cash, who was widely recognized as an icon of American music but whose record sales had suffered during the late 1970s and 1980s.
