Description: Offered here is a great pair of bookends by Jennings Brothers: "Photo Finish". Each bookend is of three jockeys coming down the home stretch. The middle horse appears to be trying to split the inside and the outside horse. There is a great level of detail to each bookend Circa 1920s. Gray metal with Jennings brothers patented finish. This is a very desirable set that is very hard to find. In fact one company has recently started duplicating this in resin. So you can find this in a version of plastic goop for a little over $200 now. These are the real deal - approximately 100 years old The backside of each is marked Pat Appld for JB 809. There is some wear to the back side where these would have been resting against books. There are no breaks or damage to the finish other than a little bit of rubbing to the finish that you really have to look closely to see. The tiny bit of wear is age appropriate Take a good look at photos. The bookends are 6 1/2 inches long, 4 1/2 inched tall and 2 1/2 inches wide. The pair weigh 6 lbs. 4 oz.
