Description: Very unique vintage abstract wood carving of the Virgin Mary from The Jaru company of Culver City, California which was founded in 1965. Measures 23 1/8" tall and 3 5/8" at its widest. Made of a softwood but we're not certain what species of wood. This would have been originally mounted on a brass backing. Comes ready to hang but also stands on its own but due to its height its a little unsturdy. In very good vintage condition, however, there is a a chip at the very front bottom corner which can be seen in the photos. The color is consistent with the rest of the carving so it's possible it was like this when it was made. Please see last two photos. All of our items come from a clean, smoke free home.
