Description: Japanese M1 Carbine Bayonet + US Military Scabbard. Knife measures 11.5" overall 7". Very good showing some wear, use, scratches. Right side of blade stamped, "KIFFE JAPAN". These were made in Japan and sold by Kiffe Sporting goods stores here in the USA in the 1950's-1960's. These were sold as an accessory to the many M1 Carbines hitting the US civilian market. The actual manufacture in Japan that made these is unknown, but many feel they were made by Howa since they were making M1 Carbines for the Japanese Self Defense force. Comes with a US made Scabbard made by PWH. Very good condition. Excellent working press-stud.
