Description: This vintage soapstone bird sculpture is a unique piece of Canadian Indigenous art, specifically Inuit from the settlement areas of Povungnitk and Puvirnituq. The artist is Josie Pamiutu Papialuk (also spelled papialook) 1918-1996. This bird was handmade and signed by the artist in 1975, the sculpture also features the original Eskimo Art sticker.
