Movement tries to run but I am sure it needs work. Great clock for display or rebuild. See all pics, they are part of the description. This is a nice antique E. N. Welch 8 day mantle clock. It measures about 22 - 1/2 inches tall by 15-1/2 wide. It comes with the brass winding key and the pendulumn. Nice antique clock for any collection or display and use. Antique E N Welch Black Mantel Clock De MURSKA 1890's FIVE DAY LISTING ONLY! Antique E. N. Welch black mantel clock fully restored in excellent working condition. This "De Murska" model has been in my personal collection for some time, and I'm downsizing some. Eight day time and strike movement with deep-toned Cathedral gong on the hour and half hour. Welch produced this one prior to the turn of the last century, and named the model, as was their custom, for a popular star of the opera. It features bronzed feet and lions' head handles and marbleized moldings on each side of the polished brass bezel and dial. The marbleized portions of this one remain very clear and bright; these often darken and develop an "alligator" crackled finish with age. Eastlake style design around the face and across the base in gold is still quite sharp. Old label on original backboard with cover is dark but 99% present. Movement was polished throughout during rebuild and is flawless; it is one of Welch's earlier mantel movements with solid escape wheel, brass mounting tabs, and long handshaft/hour pipe for the early thick-walled cases. Comes with pendulum bob and a working key. Remarkable condition overall. Dimensions are 16"W x 11 1/4"H x 7"DMovement has been COMPLETELY REBUILT----professionally cleaned and thoroughly inspected. This process takes days to perform properly, and weeks for proper testing and adjustment. When you receive it, the clock will run like a new one. As required, new mainsprings, suspension, plate bushings or other components are installed, using only the finest quality available. Movement is cleaned a second time after all work is performed. Strike train is adjusted on striking clocks. Even the strike hammer insert is not overlooked, as a Cathedral Gong clock should sound like church bell, and not a sledge hammer striking a forge anvil. The movement is then lubricated with the best synthetic lubricants on the market today. After bench testing, the movement is returned to its case for final adjustment and allowed to run for one month to set its timing and assess its performance before sale. With proper care, the clock is then ready to run for at least another 100 years!Being an antique, t are naturally small blemishes or signs of wear expected. Photographs are taken to show all angles of the clock; please ask if you need more images. Included with the clock are the pendulum bob and key for mainsprings and time adjustment, as well as an Owner's Guide for set-up and maintenance of your clock. Gingerbread Oak Mantle Clock Carved Wood Ingraham Kitchen Gingerbread Parlor Mantle Clock With Alarm This is Ingraham’s “Dahlia” mantle clock in oak with alarm. The clock is very original and appears to be untouched. It’s been running for a few days without issue. It will require setup and adjustment after shipping. The finish is original and shows substantial alligatoring. The dial is signed and original and I think the pendulum is correct. The alarm and linkage is all present but is untested; the spring is intact so there is no reason that it wouldn’t work. The front glass is old and wavy and the silk screening matches illustrations that I have seen. There is a nearly complete label in the rear but it has darkened with age and is not readable. This is a very original clock and it’s priced to sell. As with any mechanical clock, this one will require professional set up and/or adjustment after shipment.
