Vintage Ideal Mitzi Fashion Doll Barbie Clone 1960s Fashion Doll

Description: In this listing we have a really pretty vintage fashion doll. This doll was released in the early 1960s by Ideal and was called Mitzi. This doll is a really pretty Barbie clone. She has a light pink skin tone, brown hair that’s pulled into a ponytail with short blunt bangs, blue eyes, and bright red lips. This doll is articulated at the neck, shoulders, and hips. The hips are a V shape, so the doll’s legs will splay when she sits. This doll is unmarked where she was made, but it was most likely Japan or the USA. My pictures came out a little saturated, the colors are a bit more muted in person. This doll is in good shape. She has been played with and has some factory and age related issues. I did wash the doll, but she could use a more in depth cleaning. The doll’s hair is in good shape. It is a little dry feeling and the ends feel slightly frizzy. She will need some styling help. The hair is a little messy and the bangs don’t want to lay flat. There are some broken strand here and there. The doll is rooted just around the hairline, so she is limited for hair styles. On the left side of her head there is a gap along the hairline. On the top of the head the hair wasn’t rooted very full and you can see a lot of her scalp at the top. The back of the hairline is also rooted pretty thin, and you can see a lot of her scalp. The doll’s face paint is in okay shape. The doll’s eyebrows are in okay shape. They do have some chips and bits of wear here and there to both brows. They’re mostly there, but there are some small bits of damage. The doll’s eyes are in good shape. They do have some paint flaws here and there. When looking at them you can see that they’re not perfect. The right iris is a little uneven and the pupil is more on one side compared to the other. The doll’s lips are in okay shape. They are a little uneven, one side was painted a little fuller compared to the other. There is an earring hole in each ear, on the left side it’s more in front of the ear instead of on the lobe. There are some molding flaws to the head. In some spots there are some bumps and raised areas to the vinyl. There’s a lot of molded in lines to the head, especially on the forehead. The head has a mostly matte finish, but on the sides of the head near the eyes it has these random shiny lines in the vinyl. These are hard to see, even in person, but when looking closely at the doll you can see them. The doll’s body is in good shape. The doll’s torso is in fair shape. It has a lot of small scratches and scuffs. With some excess plastic in several spots. There are some embedded blue green spots on the left side of the torso, on the back right side, and on the left side near the hip in the front. There is some excess plastic along the side and shoulder seams. The doll’s arms are in fair shape. They are slightly swingy. They hold about 90 percent of all poses, they’re just not super tight in all of them. There are some small scratches and scuffs to the arms. There’s a lot of small molding flaws to the arms. They overall have a slight textured look to them with a lot of small raised bumps on the arms. The arms have some random finish issues. Some parts are shiny, some parts are more matte. There are several large bumps on the back of the right arm at the shoulder. The legs are in fair shape. They have seam lines going up and down the sides of the legs. There is some excess plastic along the seams. There’s a fair amount of scratches and scuffs to the legs. This doll would display well, but far from perfect. Please examine all pictures to see the exact condition of this doll and please keep in mind some issues are more visible in person compared to pictures.
