Description: See photos for more details.Paper size: 6-3/4" X 5-1/2"Print size: 6-1/4" X 5"NOTE: This is not framed INFO ABOUT THE PRINT: "The Quilt Maker": Originally done in watercolor, this print is about quiltmaking. Hawaii is known for their beautiful quilts, where the design is appliqued on to the top piece and the stitching "echoes'" around the applique. The quilts take up to 1000 hours to create. A true work of art. The lady, dressed in a Hawaiin mu'u mu'u and lauhala hat, is sewing a beautiful quilt while her faithful dogs look on. Please Note: The print is ready for mounting on mat board. Due to the age of the paper, there will be foxing (a natural aging process on pre-archival paper) on the back and front of the print, but this natural aging of the paper adds depth to the image. The print was once attached to mat board with adhesive (residual adhesive may remain) and have since been removed from the board. Because of this, the paper is slightly distorted, but a framer can re-mat it and frame it. I have done this with the ones I have. They look great re-matted and framed. Also, I have a sold a lot of these prints and customers really love them INFO ABOUT THE ARTIST: GUY BUFFET: In the 1970s, Guy was a new comer to the art world. Since then his work has become very sought after. The artist now resides in Maui, Hawaii. In the 1970s he illustrated a few Island Heritage books written by his then wife. His work then was quite whimsical. PERSONAL INFO ON THIS PRINT: My parents owned an art and antique gallery in Hawaii, where they sold these prints in the late 1970s and early 80s. The printing was done back in the late 70s and is a lithograph.
