Description: This stunning, hand carved wood sculpture is one of five unique sculptures acquired from an Asian antique estate sale. Exquisite craftsmanship is reflected in the detailing—from the patterning of the garment to the form of the body. The sculpture is heavy, weighing nearly 4lbs and standing 24” tall. It is pre-owned; age-related wear-and-tear adds to its vintage charm. This piece would make a wonderful addition to one’s personal collection. It would also make a thoughtful gift for a loved one, particularly an individual who can appreciate Indonesian culture, woodworking, or art. Condition: Overall, the sculpture is sturdy and in good condition. However, its age is reflected in various cracks in the base and body and some small chips. For example, there appears to be an indentation where the garment falls over the abdomen. As another example—the tip of the garment in the woman's left hand is chipped at the very edge. Please refer to pictures for more perspective on the sculpture's condition. As this is a vintage item, it is sold as is!
