Description: Large group of vintage 1920's to 1970's local Media, Middletown, Delaware County, Delco Pennsylvania Habbersett Habbersetts retail deli food meat, pork, sausage, etc. advertising advertisement items including pages with cancelled checks from a 1920's bank ledger, cookbooks, employee photo, recipe books and sheets. Twenty loose pages from a 1928 bank accounting accountant ledger book all with 3 attached cancelled checks for a total of 60 checks. They include many local businesses - Delaware County Electric Company, R. J. Randall & Co., Casanove Supply Co., John J. Felin, Bell Telephone Company, Sun Oil Co., Baltimore & Ohio (Railroad) R. R. Co., E. A. Blackshere, automotive and truck related, etc. The 60 cancelled checks are from the "First National Bank Of Media" and all signed by "Habbersett Bros." and "I. S. Habbersett". The checks and pages show storage wear as pictured. One 8" by 10" vintage 1970's 1973 black & white original high gloss photograph of two lady female women workers employees. The back reads "L To R: Alice E. Moor, Retired 5/4/73, Helen T. Burke". The photo is in excellent condition. One 70s "Habbersett's Scrapple" color 2-sided sheet, one 14 page 1975 "Sausage And Scrapple Treasury Of Recipes", one 12 page 1970's "Family Treats By Habbersett" and one single sided history of scrapple sheet. All cook books cookbooks items are in unused near mint condition. One unused order sheet "Habbersett Bros. Memo, Phone CHester 3-7226". All items are in excellent condition and display beautifully. These items are from a local Media, Delaware County, (near Philadelphia) Pennsylvania meat processing company butcher shop that closed in the 1980's. It was known for it's scrapple. Scrapple is a German Pennsylvania Dutch breakfast pork product generally only recognized in the Philadelphia area. These items are in very good to excellent condition unless as noted.
