Vintage H. CHENEY CORP. Ball Pein Machinists Hammer Tool Steel Little Falls , NY

Description: Hey neighbor , This is a nice vintage machinist’s ball Pein Hammer made by H.(Henry) Cheney Corp . In Little Falls NY . possibly made before 1925 . I’ve included a little history of Henry Cheney and his company in my pics that I thought was pretty interesting . This little hammer is in great condition with a hickory handle that feels good in the hand , well balanced . It is not beat up or chips missing anywhere . The face is in near perfect condition and the ball pein is in great shape also . The hickory handle is a good solid handle and is tight in the hammer head . There is a place in the handle that appears to be some dried wood glue , I didn’t try to remove as it isn’t a big spot and doesn’t detract significantly from the handle . I can’t say for sure it’s the original handle but I’m inclined to believe it is . I don’t know if this is considered a rare hammer or not , but I have never seen another H. Cheney Corp . Ball pein hammer . Please check all pictures for size and condition . It’s a nice little hammer that would be a nice addition to your hammer collection or a good hammer to throw in your toolbox for everyday use . Either way , you will not be disappointed with this little jewel .
