Well my buying season is over and the cooking season has begun. I have acquired hundreds of Cast Iron pieces over this last several months and have been working to clean and season them. You will be able to find that special gift that you want to give that special person or yourself this cooking season. CAST IRON, all the cast iron is cleaned and seasoned unless its stated otherwise. I gauge movement by a business card. Usually less than a card of movement I consider it to be flat. However you may see that I state that it has a tap movement. That just shows that if you push down at that point it will tap the surface. Any movement more than that I will list it as how many cards it takes to level it out. I clean the cast by electrolysis and season it with a beeswax and vegetable oil mixture. Overtime I have tried several different ways of seasoning. I have recently been trying a heavier coating to get a more stick free finish. However some of the older pieces have less of a coating. All of them will get better with use and more seasoning when you cook with them. Most of the pieces will come to you in a dark Cast Iron color, some however will be a brownish color. But all will darken more with use. They will darken up over time and use to become the black color everyone associates with Cast iron Skillets. Some of the Cast Iron pieces are coming out of my collection so they will not be as cured as the others since I use a lot of them for display purposes. If I find any issues with the Cast Iron item I will state it in the narrative. I buy a lot of items off of ebay so I understand that you the buyer need me to be as honest and knowledgeable as I can be so you are a well informed buyer. I rarely have a buyer complaint but when I do I have been able to remedy it quickly. If you have any issues with any item I sell let me know and I will fix it. All of the Cast Iron Cookware is packaged and shipped to make sure the item gets to you in pristine condition. Pool noodles and bubble wrap are usually used. Due to the large number of items I acquire and sell, I may be wrong with the name or description on any one of them. I try to ship the cheapest way possible except for fishing rods that require insurance, tubing and extra shipping materials to arrive safely since the postal machine seems to be eating them on a regular basis. I charge a flat 18.00 to pay for the PVC tubing and the very expensive shipping to get the rod to you in great condition. I place insurance on any item over 100.00 dollars at my cost. Free shipping is in the 48 lower U.S. States ONLY.I combine shipping on any items purchased the same day or in a 3 day period if we discuss it before I package the initial item. Please let me know that you purchased items and need them to be combined since eBay no longer does it automatically.I do not ship to APO/FPO or in some cases PO Boxes since Fed Ex wont deliver there and USPS wont track there. Its a shame that the US Postal Service cant do its job and deliver to US Military Personnel and track packages at the same time.
