Description: For sale is a vintage (1950's) Sturmey Archer 3 or 4 speed handlebar shifter. It is complete with the original Sturmey Archer screw and nut that have not been chewed up from improper tightening. The shifter functions perfectly but could benefit from a few drops of oil and a few minutes of polishing with some steel wool. This original design for the shifter has the riveted-on clamp which doesn't bind up like later designs where the screw goes through the shifter body. No returns or refunds.
