Description: Genuine Vintage Gentex Firefighter Helmet w/ Plectron Visor and Drager Gas/Oxygen MaskUp for your consideration is a NICE Vintage Gentex Firefighter Helmet w/ Plectron Visor & Drager Gas/Oxygen Mask. Both genuine items that are being offered are in very nice "Used" condition that are thought to be from the late 1980's/ early 1990's. Both items came from an auction that included a number of pieces from a local Eastern MN. Fire & Rescue Dept. Helmet - Item was mfg'd. in the United States by the Gentex Corp. Inspection of the helmet revealed only small to moderate scratching with no known chips, cracks, broken, or missing parts. Attached is an adjustable cloth chin strap and a Plectron Visor. Helmet has 2 "Red" reflector decals (one on each side of the helmet) and on the inside the helmet is a Fyr-Fyter quilted red & green "lid pad". Drager Gas / Oxygen Mask - Item was mfg'd in Germany and is a Model No. R26279 which is printed on the back & side straps. Item was acquired in "used" condition. The operation & functionality has not been tested. Mask appears to be in fairly good physical condition with normal wear due to use. No hose and / or attachments are included. See photos for more detail as to item overall condition. Due to age & unknown past use, we do not suggest purchasing these items with plans for putting them back into service. Given the quality of these vintage pieces we do feel that they would be excellent items to be used for display purposes.
