Description: Here's a fun vintage ceramic fruit bowl comprised of ten geese marching in a circle beak-to-neck on an oval base. Each goose is bright white and glossy with embossed feathers. The beaks, eyes, feet, and grass blades are the only metallic gold features. The ring of geese measures 9" long x 7" wide. It stands 5.5"tall and weighs 2 lb 13.4 oz. Condition is very good with no chips, cracks, crazing or discoloration - but one golden beak has an underside paint scuff, see last photo. Holland Mold Inc was founded in Trenton, NJ in 1946. Many designs with the Holland Mold mark have a high-fired professional finish, but lots of the vintage pieces are ones finished by a ceramic hobbyists. The indented backstamp reads "Holland (c) Mold" with the artist initial etched. Thanks for looking.
