Description: This jacket is a part of a French policeman's uniform made of a heavy blue polyester and wool blend fabric with a twill weave. On each of the buttons there is a Parisian coat of arms and the words "Police Municipale", so this coat was likely part of the uniform of a Parisian policeman. The underside of each button reads "T. W & W Paris", the button manufacturer. There is the original vintage brand tag on the interior of the jacket that reads "VETEMENTS UNIFORMES G. MORIER ANGERS". This coat has been mended on the interior pockets and there are some lovely patches on each interior side to either side of the opening, but you would never guess from the outside! I date this lovely vintage coat to the 1950's. This is a very sturdy uniform perfect for a costume or wonderful for collectors! ~*~ ( 356 ) MEASUREMENTS : This lovely textile measures approximately: 29.5 inches long 24 inch sleeves 17.75 inch shoulder ( measured straight across the back seam to seam) 21.5 inches across the chest, laid flat from one underarm to the other CONDITION : This coat isn't quite parade ready, but close! I recommend dry cleaning, this should clean beautifully! There are some mends and patches on the interior, and the interior lining has mostly been removed. A wonderful vintage collectors textile ~!
