Description: Vintage Framed TOKURIKI TOMIKICHIRO Japanese WOODBLOCK PRINT, Red Shrine Temple Click images to enlarge Description VINTAGE WOODBLOCK PRINT Lovely vintage framed under glass vibrant color woodblock on paper print measuring about 13" tall by 12" wide. Featuring a red temple or pagoda in winter, it is signed for Tokuriki Tomikichiro, a prolific woodblock artist (1902-2000). Housed in the original frame and cream matte, building is depicted in vibrant red with large lantern at the steps, frosted with snow and accented with falling flakes. Purchased by my Grandmother around the 1960s when she traveled to Japan, condition is very nice with two tiny dots of foxing as shown, light lifting from how it was framed under the glass, scuffing and wear to the black paint on the wood frame - no fading, tears, holes, discoloration or damage - original paper backing. A wonderful image - lovely addition to any home, collection or display. As shown, I have another woodblock by the same artist and can combined shipping - listing is for the red temple only.
