Description: This type of Mexican doll dates back to the late 1800’s. Unsure of his age, but he is sporting all of the clothing of a caballero, charro or vaquero hat with string tie, embroidered linen shirt, cinchona pants with detail running down the sides. He even has an authentic hand woven chimayo serape draped over his shoulder! He shows some age but displays well. His body appears to be stuffed with sawdust. His shirt and clothing are pinned on and not meant to be removed. Charming painted details to his face. A truly wonderful part of old Mexico history and a fantastic ethnic doll.
