Description: Vintage Early Native American Sweetgrass Yarn or String 8" Basket Woven Handles Here is an early American Yarn Basket from New England. Such items were typically sold by the Northeastern Woodland Tribes to tourists in the early 1920's. It displays various sizes of both dyed and natural ash splint and thickly woven sweet grass. It shows age when comparing the dyes on the outside and inside and it is in excellent preowned condition, with only one minor break. You can see this in my last picture. Basket stands approximately 8" high and 6 1/2" in width. Please see the pictures for your best description. Please see the shipping calculator for your personal shipping costs.
