Description: Vintage David Eldreth 8" blue salt glazed folk art pottery crock/vase/utensil holder in very nice condition! This crock is adorned with florals and leaves in blue set on a creamy tan/beige speckled background. The finish has a glossy slightly raised texture. The crock has 2 small decorative handles outlined in blue. The neck is slightly tapered. It measures 8" tall with a 3.5" opening at the top and a 5" round bottom. There are a couple of small chips along the bottom rim that can only be seen when it is turned over and that I am more inclined to think happened in the manufacturing process although I could be wrong (please see pictures for close-up view). They are not noticeable with the crock in the upright position. The underside is stamped 'D Eldreth Nottingham, PA". There is some light writing on the bottom. I have other blue salt glazed pottery crocks and vases for sale under other listings. I will be happy to combine shipping costs to save you money. Comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home.
