Description: Crown Devon of England is the producer of this pale yellow or cream colored trinket box paying tribute to the 'COACHING DAYS' when that was the primary means of travel. (Before the automobile!) The lid - which is edged in gold - has a transferware scene of passengers alighting from a coach at The Manor House in Oxford. The box has a scene of The Manor House in Oxford on the front and The Swan Inn at Hereford on the back. While the box measures 5" x3.5" and is 2" deep the lid is fitted to the box with a .25" overhang on all sides. The top edge of the box is also edged with gold. The colors are very good and the features very distinct. There are no cracks or chips but there is some light crazing - nothing to distract from it's loveliness. Note: The white line in the main photo upper left corner is a reflection - not on subsequent photos. Please Note: I try to describe all of my items as completely and accurately as possible and provide many photos from various angles for your inspection. If you have any questions please ask before purchase as all sales are considered final. Reasonable offers are welcome.
