Vintage Cross Stitch Kit Ivy Vine Border Design Linen Jane Snead Samplers NOS

Description: Vintage new old stock “Keepsake Needlework” embroidery kit by Jane Snead Samplers, formerly located in Philadelphia, PA. The company was in operation from the 1960’s through the 1990’s. I believe this sampler dates from the early 1960s. Stitches featured in this sampler: Cross Stitch. Thread colors used: Dark Green, Pink, Red, Light Green, Purple, Black and Bright Green. Kit number 365: Vine Border Design. This sampler can be used to embroider your own design or motto within the border. It can also be sewn with just the border and used as a backdrop for a document or photograph. Or, sew the border only and use as a table linen. The Lettering Kit Number 50 is also included with this sampler. It contains a 17 x 22 inch piece of graph paper, a sample alphabet and numerals, and instructions for embroidering. Framed Size: 17 inches by 22 inches. Each Sampler Kit contains: Sampler clearly printed on Imported Pure Linen; Complete and easy-to-follow directions including color chart; Sufficient Embroidery Floss to complete sampler; Mounting and Framing instructions. Made in U.S.A. Condition: New (old stock). Never used. There are some natural imperfections to the pure linen which I have shown in close-up photos. The plastic bag and paper instruction sheet show overall wear and/or discoloration due to age. The sampler and thread inside are clean and like new. Please zoom all photos for condition details. Each Jane Snead sampler is an original design and each pattern was silk-screened by hand onto 100% pure Belgian linen. The embroidery floss used for the stitching is J&P Coats Deluxe 100% pure cotton thread.
