Description: Vintage "Apple Pie", pie keeper dish from the early to mid 1980's. This two-piece set features with a round shape a brown glazed finish bottom half, and a "Baked Apple Pie" top half. I've always loved the uniqueness of the apples because "the peeling" is coming off of a couple of the apples, which in my view makes it more realistic looking. The keeper measures 11-inch at its widest part, and hold one pie, regular or deep dish. It is easy to clean, but I recommend hand washing. The bottom depth is approximately 2 inches, the overall height is approximately 3.5 inches, and it weighs 5 lb and 0.6 oz. Except for the appearance of the apples with the peeling sliding off, it is VERY similar to the brand Over and Back, Inc. pie keeper, which was made in Portugal from 1983 to 1985. However, although this one was manufactured in the '80s as well, there is no marking of any kind, has only the remnants of a sticker left, and therefore the country of origin and brand are unknown.
