Vintage Colnago Super

Description: 1980 Colnago Super This bicycle has had a single owner, now deceased, and the seller is the individual who cleaned, serviced, restored, and inherited after many years of disuse. The frame was dated by the original owner based on his memory of the purchase. Most of the parts were installed by owner when it was purchased, and the few restoration replacements where needed, are era appropriate. 60cm frame size with Campy dropouts (rear spacing 126mm, front spacing 100mm). Frame has the usual nicks and minor finish flaws of a 44 year old bicycle. The chrome fork had some rust which cleaned up moderately well, but has the inevitable dull marks of full restoration resistant chrome typical of Italian bicycles of the era. The chainstay and fork crown chrome can be considered “fair” condition (see photos). All decals are original and in good condition. Colnagos of the era had no serial numbers so exact dating is approximate, and the listed date is based on the memory of when the bicycle was purchased by the original owner, but may have been purchased in 1979. Note, the tubular tires mounted on this bicycle are mounted only, BUT NOT glued. The tires will need to be properly glued prior to using the bicycle for safe riding. The tires were not glued to facilitate ease of a new owner mounting tires of their own choice. Shipping will be done via Bike Flights with exact amount based on shipping destination. The last bicycle I shipped was to California from Michigan, and cost approximately $250.00. Packing will be at a local bike shop with the added “handling” fee of $70.00, therefore I am asking $300.00 flat rate shipping and packing combined. The Bike Flights shipping and packing fees will be waived if you wish a local pickup, or if you wish to meet the seller within a 100 mile radius of Berrien Spring, MI 49103, for a reasonable transport fee of $50.00 (for travel time and fuel). A "Buy It Now" purchase includes all packing and shipping fees to continental US.
