Description: This is a vintage miniature clay pottery thatched cottage with waterwheel made in Japan. It sits on a clay pottery base which is 5 1/4 by 3 inches. House is 3 1/2 inches tall while on the base. I'm not sure, but it looks like it could have been used with a light in it, there is a curved area on the back below the tree where a wire could fit and the top inside clay is darkened as though from heat. [again, I'm just guessing about that] I purchased this at an antique store. Says Made in Japan on the bottom.
