Description: This vintage bottle was typical for citrate of magnesia solutions. It is made with a heavy (thick) colorless glass with a strongly secured glass stopper to properly contain the normally carbonated contents. The bottle was designed to be easily reusable. The age of this specific bottle is unknown. The bottle is complete with a glass stopper and rubber washer firmly held in place by a wire closure (pics 6-8). The bottle is embossed near the top with “Citrate of Magnesia”. It is a two seam bottle weighing around 12 oz. It is approximately 7.5 inches tall (pic 9) with a bottom diameter of about 2.5 inches. It has a calculated volume of approximately 12 oz. The bottom of the bottle (pic 5) is embossed with a 2, an A in a circle, 47, and USA. In terms of condition, the bottle has scratches, scuffs, stained areas and possibly tiny bubbles or other manufacturing/mold defects, but no cracks or chips.
