Description: Vintage White Chinese Linen RAMIE BANQUET TABLECLOTH Large vintage embroidered tablecloth has flaws described below so it could be used as-is or considered to be a "cutter" for repurposing. (I have made several perfectly nice curtains from less-than-perfect tablecloths -- the gathers tend to hide the flaws.) It's made from ramie or Chinese linen, a plant fiber known for its durability and sustainable qualities that's light- to medium-weight and semi-sheer. The tablecloth has white floral embroidery, floral net lace inserts and hemstitched borders. It measures approximately 100" by 65." Flaws include at least four small mended places, a little worn place that's not quite a hole, a little pinhead-sized dark dot stain, and a bit of edge fraying. It has some "slubs" (thickened fibers) here and there and the fabric has some darker white lines from its manufacturing process.
