Description: Up for sale is this large insulator made by "CHANCE". I believe it is from the late 1960's to late 1970's. Compared to most of the pole insulators you see for sale, this one is massive, weighing in at over 4 pounds. It measures about 6" in diameter and sits about 5" tall. The skirt (bottom) is a dark chocolate brown and the top is black. The saddle style top has 2 unglazed curved areas that are a bit rough (by design I think). It would fit nicely into an insulator collection, but I've also seen them turned upside down and used as a fantastic candle holder. The center threaded opening has a 1-3/4" inside diameter. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing.
