Description: if you have a seat the bike is in ready to ride condition except it will be partially disassembled for shipping. the gears and shifter operate ok. the bike sat for awhile unridden, so could use some lube,etc, the shifters are working a little hard (in my opinion, as they are getting old!), but I was able to get to all the 21 gears. The bike will now come with a seat (none pictured), but includes a nice long and lightweight post. also will come with useable set of pedals but they will be ordinary. the specialized tires are well worn, the rear is useable but the front is definitely ready for replacement.( the side wall has a damaged spot, but still holding air and rideable.) The Ritchey Vantage comp 26" wheels are in good condition, they spin tru and spokes are good as well as the deore LX hubs. the chain looks as though it was a fairly recent replacement as it is lubed and without corrosion. the frame itself is in good shape with only heavy cable rub wear on the head tube and some lighter wear on the top tube. the frame size is 16 5/8" center of crank to top of seat stay. The deore lx groupset is in very good condition without any corrosion on the derailuers or the crankset and chainrings, The rear cassette (or freewheel?) is free of corrosion as well. the only corrosion I have seen is on a few of the brake bolt heads and a little under the neck where the little cable guide wheel is(cable is routed around this wheel - as it is not in use) The Trek DDS3 is a nice more modern upgrade and seems to function (rebound) properly. NEW NOTE: i was rideing this the other day, and did some wipe down on it and I noticed a dent on the rear upper left side stay it is about the size of your pinky finger nail and about 1/8" deep, it is barely visibile in the pic, I may have to amend the ad and photos, and also I now will include a older bontrager seat that is useable but not in great shape
