Description: This is a BYER OF MAINE MILITARY "ACADIAN" STYLE COT WITH HARDWOOD LEGS AND FRAME. This item is new, never unfolded and setup (until now to take photos), however it has been in storage for several years, with its intended purpose never realized. This cot is still in brand-new condition as can be seen in photos and comes with its own drawstring carrying bag. (We're keeping our fingers crossed that we can get it back into the bag correctly.) We have two of these cots available. This listing is just for one. The photos are the actual item, not some stock photos. The cot's legs unfold and then spread apart. The two end "headrails" insert into the hemmed ends of the cot's cover and hook over the tenon pins. If you look at the photos, there is one that describes the setup of the cot. The instructions are clear and accurate. The cot's cover is very taunt and does require some effort to hook the headrails over the tenon pins due to the tightness of the material. One side of the headrails is a little longer to provide leverage to hook over the tenon pins. This is intentionally done to provide a firm sleeping surface. This vintage Byer of Maine military-style cot is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts who need a reliable and comfortable place to sleep. The cot features a hardwood frame and a green polyester material, making it both durable and lightweight. It is large enough and suitable for adults, children, and everyone in between. With its portable and foldable design, (sets up very quickly) this cot is perfect for backpacking, camping, hiking, and indoor/outdoor use.
