Vintage BSF Silver Plated Candle Holder (28.5cm)

Description: Vintage Silver Plated Candle Holder Click image to enlarge Description This elegant silver plated candle holder has 3 fixed sconce cups which will accommodate candles measuring up to 2.5cm (1”) in diameter. It comprises a plate that is set on a circular foot and set with sconce cups that are part-decorated with a bark effect. It was produced by Bremer Silberwarenfabrik of Bremen, Gemany and the original label is still on the base. This company closed in 1981 and, judging from the bark effect used, I would date this piece to around 1970. This piece is in lovely condition with no dents, damage or wear to the plating. Please be aware that, after all these years, there will be some fine abrasions caused through handling. There is some green baize on the foot which is quite tired and a section has been pulled back to expose the screw that tightens the foot to the main bar. I’ve left this as it is as it’s the only way to access the screw.
