Description: This vintage footed brass box is larger than the normal trinket box. This box measures 8"x6.5"x 3.25" and has an aged patina. It is perfect for keeping your special treasures and momentos. The top features a Griffin - the mythological guardian of priceless treasures. He is surrounded by a traditional geometric border. The front and back panels feature a florish on each side. The geometric pattern is repeated around the border of all 4 sides of the box. While the lid is solid brass, the box itself is brass wrapped wood. This box looks and feels like a substantial piece of vintage brass. No chips, or dents. It is vintage and has been used. It has signs of wear and tarnish consistent with age and use. The brass has an aged patina that looks like black and brown spots in the photos. I don't know why the variations in the gold color photograph that way. See photos for condition details.
