Description: -Vintage brass claw, or elephant, bell.-Includes bell stand.-Bell and stand are enameled. The primary color is red. There are two secondary colors: a grey-green and a white.-Height is around 2½ inches.-Diameter at the widest point (the base of the stand) is around 3 inches.-Bell has 11 claws.-Brand is Harilela's.-Made in India.-Age is unknown, but this bell has been in my family since at least the 1950s.-Bell and stand appear to have been cast, turned on a lathe, carved and chased, and then enameled.-Decorations are a mix of floral and geometric motifs.-Stamped into the underside of the base:HARILELA'SINDIA • 183• 8 • -Condition: Bell and stand have a nice patina. I have cleaned them with mild soap and warm water--but I have done nothing else to them. No cracks, chips, scratches, dents, etc. Whatever issues this item might have (and I don't see any) are simply from sitting around the house for 70+ years.
