Description: 2 VINTAGE BOY SCOUT HANDBOOKS & CUB SCOUT PIN LOT, this is a terrific vintage set of two Boy Scout handbooks and one Cub Scout merit pin. The older book "Handbook for Boys" was printed in Dec. 1943 and was used by a young man from 1941 to 1945 and it includes his scout information on the inside first page. The book is filled with great old illustrations, scouting lore, and all sorts of useful outdoor information. The book has been well used and shows appropriate wear for its age, has one missing page, and a small bit of binding missing at the bottom edge. The newer book "Scout Handbook" was published in 1975 and is in fair condition with some dirt marks, worn edges, and intact binding. The Cub Scout merit pin is made of brass with a bear insignia and the words "Cub Scouts, BSA". There is a small amount of discoloration on the bear's nose and the pin has a tie tack back. These are great nostalgic pieces of a once wholesome history that has pretty much been forgotten in today's modern world.
