Description: Such a sweet pretty and one of a kind doll! Handmade of wood by the renowned Bottega Michelangeli Orvieto, Italia. Her head and face is carved from a light smooth wood and set with brown glass eyes. Long bangs and braided hair made of small twine. She has a cute pale aqua green Italian linen dress with a white linen and lace skirt apron and white linen and lace bonnet. She also wears tan bloomers with little white bows. The hand made leather boot shoes are just a work of art! The arms and legs are covered in linen and movable. She stands just over 13” tall. There is a tag on her dress with the Michelangeli Orievto Itala and logo. This unique doll dates from sometime in the 1980s and is in near perfect condition- the only thing keeping her from perfection is a few specs of dirt stains on her bonnet as shown in the photos. With her braided hair, dress and leather shoes she reminds me of Laura Ingalls Wilder from Little house on the prairie. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was the inspiration.
