Description: Vintage Book. THE CHINA COAST By Ivon A Donnelly. Published by Kelly & Walsh Ltd in 1940. Hardback. With Illustrations. This particular copy has added images glued in place. I believe them to be photos, but I am not an expert. This is just my opinion. There are 26 photographic images all together. 25 of which are glued in place, and 1 image is loose. Most seem to be of sights in and around Shanghai. Condition. The cover and spine have some scuffs and marks. Pencil inscription on the endpapers dated 1946. Several pages are held in place by a dark tape. Some of the signatures are separated by significant cracked hinges. There is some foxing. Most of the photographic images are in good condition. There is some movement in the binding. A few of the titles have been changed from Yangtsze Estuary to The China Sea in ink. There is a large photographic image on the last page and a loose photographic image of what looks like a city with a Coka Cola sign in the background. Again, these photographic images seem to me to be photographs, but that is just my opinion. Although in need of some TLC, this book is a really interesting item.
