Description: Let me start off by saying I know very little about Movie Cameras--- I'm a product of the Cam-corder age, so all I know is by fiddling a little bit and looking stuff up on the interwebs. So what I can tell you is this one is in Excellent Condition from what I can tell. I'm not sure of the exact model--- it takes 16mm Movie Film that is split--- you flip over the reel to get double the length for 8mm movies. It's some variation of an H8, which was first sold in the 1930's, but there were so many sub-models made during the 1940's through the 1950's--- I've been told this one is from the mid 1950's. I:m still not sure what the exact model is--- the serial number is 158262 if that helps you. I expect you'll know what you're buying. It comes with it's original Box, and an assortment of small parts--- lens & body caps, filters and a little leather case. It's a pretty nice example---- no major damage, just some minor nicks and scuffs. It has three lenses attached on a rotating Turret--- a 36mm, a 12.5mm and a 7mm Wide Angle lens--- take a look at the pix. The lenses look to be in very good condition, the glass is fairly clear with no glue separation or bad damage that I can see. The Box is in Good condition with some cosmetic flaws---- the corners are a little beat up, and some of the lamination is flaking in spots. Functionally, the motor winds, and it runs strong and smooth... hums right along nicely. But it has not been thoroughly tested beyond that--- in real shooting with film. The film compartment is clean and the cover fits snuggly. But I can't make any promises on it's perfect operation. So that's about all I can tell you--- I have not tested it with film and I'm not too familiar with all the nuances of the camera, but it still operates seemingly well. I expect you'll know a lot more about it than I do. What you see is what you'll get--- please examine the photos. But I can't "Bench Test" everything to factory specs, and understand every little bell and whistle (especially with Movie Cameras.... I'm a complete Novice). So I'm sorry, I can't sell this item on Approval--- it's being sold As Is, No Warranty, No Buyer's Remorse, NoTry-outs, No Returns---- Unknown if perfectly functional. Unless it's Brand New... I can't guarantee that every single aspect may be Perfect... especially when it's a 60+ year old item! Any significant defects that I know of are either pictured or described to the best of my knowledge and I try to be detailed and truthful, but I can't describe every every millimeter of it. As expected with age, a used vintage camera could be found with a nick or blemishes here and there or a few additional specs of dust inside that I failed to mention, particularly inside the viewfinder... but they won't affect the photos and would hardly diminish it... unless you expect everything to be 100% Perfect. What you see is what you'll get and I package my items well, so it arrives in the same condition as shown.
