Description: This Bodum Assam 1.01 tea press teapot has a most pleasing shape. It was designed by C. Jorgensen for Bodum of Switzerland, and was made in Germany. It comes in its original box, although the box has definitely seen better days (it has some dents and a bit of dirt from long storage). The teapot has never been used (although it was stored for many years), and the lid is still wrapped in its original plastic. The teapot is made from glass, stainless steel, and plastic. All of the plastic parts (including the handle, lid, and the bottom of the plunger) are black except for the tea filter column, which is clear. The pot measures about 7" tall including the lid; it is almost 8" wide including the spout and handle. Capacity is 34 ounces. There are directions for how to brew the perfect pot of tea on the side of the box.
