Description: This is a BSR "Red Mountain Series " No 7 cast iron skillet in excellent restored condition, dates to the 1950s. The cooking surface has light utensil scores an fine patches of etching from corrosion. These are undetectable as you glide your fingers over a near glass smooth surface. The heat ring was not really cast correctly and the center of the pan has a very slight downward bow. This combination causes the pan to have a very slight wobble and a dragging spin. Not recommended for use on a ceramic stovetop. Gas range is not an issues. There are no chips, cracks. The item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process ensures the removal of all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more. The item is lightly seasoned with one round of Crisco at 450 for 1 hour. This item was photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, items may take on a brown color. Items are much darker under normal light.
