Description: You are bidding on a Vintage Belknap bluegrass axe in unrestored condition. This is a wonderful example of logging history. The Belknap brand is well known for quality and style. This is an old 7" beveled style axe that has been used on the farm for many years. There is a Belknap trademark bluegrass Louisville USA stamp that is heavily worn but still visible. It has some dings and dent marks from being hammered etc. It has some spots of surface rust and is in need old a good restoration job or it could just be re-sharpened and used in it's current condition. It weighs approx. 3 1/2 lbs on my postage scale and the blade is approx 5 1/2 long. This is a nice old axe head for restore or just add it to your collection of old tools. Please look at all the photos before bidding and feel free to ask me any questions you may have. These are in used condition and have some scuffs and scratches but no major damage.
