Vintage Be Choosey Go Chessie C and O Railroad System Pinback Button with Insert

Description: On the block: One (1) vintage "Be Choosey Go Chessie" C and O Railroad System WITH insert promotional souvenir pinback button. It measures approx 1.5 inches from side to side and features a white background with black printing. Multi shell pressed construction with metal back and locking pin. No date. In very good used condition with marks commensurate of a 45+ year old button. No large scratches, creases, image loss or dents. There are no raised dimples, but there is some darkening and foxing (on insert). Great color and printing. Minimal darkening from handling/age on the back. Due to the insert being paper, we chose to not remove it to look underneath for condition. See pics. in 1972 C&O merged with B&O and Western Maryland Railway. C&O had been called Chessie System since the 1930s. They adopted the "Ches-C" logo, a silhouette of a kitten into the "C" of the railroad's name. The Chessie System merged with other railroads to become CSX in 1986 and the Chessie logo was no longer used. Photos are of the actual item that you will receive.
