Description: France's entry in the European Recovery Program (ERP) Marshall Plan's Intra-European Cooperation for a Better Standard of Living 1950 poster contest, this striking graphic suggests that cooperation is the key to post-World War II economic development and prosperity. The ERP or Marshall Plan (1948 - 1951), conceived by George C. Marshall, Army Chief of Staff during WW II & Truman's Secretary of State, sought to politically stabilize & rebuild the economies of war-torn European countries while hindering the spread of Communism. A panel of graphic artists selected 25 winning posters from over 10,000 entries. The posters are graphically stunning pieces of political propaganda and historically interesting bits of ephemera from the early Cold War era. The poster is an original poster, not a reproduction. The poster is in very good vintage condition with just some wear at around the edges. Poster has never been displayed.
