Description: Art Memo is a wonderful vintage game that features 36 well-known paintings by some of the world's greatest artists. There is a matching pair of cards for each work of art, and the game is played like a memory or concentration game. It can also be played as a matching game with younger children, with the tiles all placed randomly face up on a tabletop, so children can find the pairs. Great for enhancing visual discrimination skills. The reproductions are very fine quality! Included in the set is an information sheet with the rules of play and a black & white photo of each painting with the title of the work, the name of the artist and the museum where it is displayed. Art Memo was sold in the gift shops of many art museums. The rules are given in English, French, Spanish and German. The age recommendation is for ages 6 and up. It is fun and challenging for families to play together! It is no longer in production. This set is in exceptional condition. None of the 72 cards are bent or otherwise damaged! The cards are sturdy 2 3/8" square cardboard tiles that have been very gently played with. The game is in its original box, which is fitted with a plastic tray with compartments for storing the cards. The box is in great shape, given it's age of 40 years. It is entirely intact and has no tears. It does have a name written on one side in Sharpie, which I showed in one of my photos. And there is a small divot (1/8") and a couple of spatters of dark watercolor paint along the top rear edge, which I circled in another of my photos. The box measures approx. 15" x 2 7/8" x 1 1/2". The boxed set weighs 13.60 oz.
