Description: Vintage Art Deco Charlotte Rhead 4752 Florentine Art Pottery Bowl & Pitcher Charlotte Rhead (1885 - 1947) was one of England's most prolific designers during the Art Deco period of Art Pottery. This is a vintage Art Deco Art Pottery pitcher in the Florentine pattern # 4752. Measuring 8 3/4" high x 9 1/2" wide x 5 3/4" top rim diameter. Signed on the underside in tube-lining Rhead and 4752 with the Burleigh Ware Burgess & Leigh stamped maker's mark. The Florentine pattern number 4752 was one of the last patterns designed for Burgess & Leigh. They were in production by 1931. The Florentine pattern bowl measures 14 1/4" across top rim and stands 4 1/2" high. Signed on the underside in tube-lining Rhead. In the center is a very faint Burleigh Ware Burgess & Leigh stamped maker's mark that is hard to see. The Florentine pattern on both Bowl and Pitcher features curvilinear geometric design with leaves around the top rim in a stunning color combination of sage green and a muted orange brown on a mottled orange brown background with tube-lining Condition is very, very good.
