Description: Collection of five vintage postcards ranging in age from early 1900's to mid-Century, sold separately; feature attractions in Central and Eastern Washington State, the "Inland Empire." All are postally unused.Vintage Armed Svcs. Litho PC "Apple Blossom Time in fertile Yakima Valley" Slightly smaller than standard: 5-1/4 x 3-1/4”, divided back, commissioned by Washington State's Department of Conservation and Development-Division of Progress and Industry "for the convenience of men and women in the armed services..." Service persons were further invited to write "for any information desired about the state or for Victory File for use in planning your first after-war vacation." This Division was established in 1945, helping to date the card to the mid-1940's. One might wonder if the young ladies pictured might provide added interest for servicemen looking to resettle after the War. Very slight top edge wear and a small area of slight discoloration along the bottom border is noted. Minimal corner wear. No other spots, stains or damage noted.
