Description: Vintage Allen Padded Rifle/Shotgun Case Model 862 Length 52"The model tag on the outside is folded over at the time it was manufactured I can make out the model number but not the size I'm guessing it's 53 inch as that's what the length measures out to.There is a zippered pocket on the side on the outside of the case. The padding on this case is VERY thick and the fabric on the inside of the case feels like flannel it's very soft.See photographs for measurements.This case is in beautiful like new condition. It may not have been used.My father in laws gun collection was sold off a number of years ago. He used to buy out gun collections, so this is probably a remnant of one of those collections. He was nationally known at the gun shows for his work engraving and making gun parts for antique guns that had a military origin dating back to the Civil War
