Description: For sale is a Acrabore combination set of auger bits and Witherby chisels. The combination set was produced by Acrabore from the later 1940’s thru the mid-1950’s when the company sold out to the Stanley Tool Works. The set consists of five Acrabore auger bits, one substitute Craftsman bit (#8) and three Witherby chisels. The auger bits, no’s 4, 6, 8, 10,12 & 16, are in good condition, no rust, straight and sharp. The Witherby Woodchuck, W500 chisels, in sizes ½”, ¾” and 1”, have no rust, handles with scrapes and scratches, have been ground and stroped, sharp and ready to use. The auger bits and chisels are housed in a solid cherry wood case. Case has numerous scrapes and scratches. Also evidence that the cover has been cracked and repaired. Last frame in the posted pictures is an advertisement from the 1952 Popular Science.
