When I first removed him from storage, he had a slight musty smell, but he's been out in my home for several months now and has perked up quite a bit. There is only the faintest hint of the wooden box he had been stored on at this point. But do be aware, if you are especially sensitive.There may be squished bits on the plushies from being packed in boxes which will be noted but which should be easily fixed with some time out of a box.
