Description: This beautifully "overdyed" Bakelite bracelet is 5/8" wide and weighs 23 grams. It has an octagon shape with the normal inside diameter of 2.5" . The bracelet has beautiful butterscotch and rust colors in a lovely mottled pattern. In making the bracelet, the artist first applied a jet black colored resin wash to the bracelet before carving back elongated pentagon facets along each edge to create the cool diamond shaped designs that run down the center of the bracelet. This Vintage Bakelite bracelet is in excellent condition and its authenticity was confirmed using Simichrome polish. (See photo #10) No chips or cracks were noted and the black overdye is uniform and in excellent condition.
